1. Introduction

Boomi is a Discord bot that translates embeds from other Discord bots into a user's chosen language. This policy explains what data the bot processes and why.

2. Data We Process

Embed content. When a user replies to an embed and invokes /translate, the bot reads the content of that specific embed (fields, title, description, footer) in order to translate it. This content is used solely for translation and is not stored after the reply is sent.

Modified messages. To support automatic re-translation when an embed is updated, the bot compares the previous and new versions of an embed. Both versions are processed in memory and discarded immediately.

Translation engines. Embed text is sent to external translation services — Google Translate, Kilo, DeepL, or Mymemory — depending on availability and the user's subscription tier. These services process the text and return the translation. We do not use this content to train machine-learning models, in accordance with Discord's Developer Policy.

Account identifiers. We store only your Discord user ID alongside: your chosen language, the list of bots you allow the bot to translate for you, and your subscription status (free or premium). No message content is stored in these records.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not store embed content or chat messages.
• We do not use message content to train AI models.
• We do not sell, share, or rent user data to third parties for marketing.
• We do not read messages beyond the embeds users explicitly ask us to translate.

4. Premium Subscriptions & Payments

Premium status is an optional feature. We offer an automated subscription system for users who wish to unlock additional features. When you purchase a subscription:

• Identifiers: We store your Discord User ID and subscription expiry date to activate premium features automatically.
• Payment Processing: All payments are handled securely by third-party payment processors (e.g., Lemon Squeezy). We do not store or have access to your credit card details, bank account numbers, or billing addresses on our servers.
• Webhooks: We receive automated notifications from the payment provider to update your subscription status instantly.

5. Data Retention

User preferences (language, allowed bots, subscription status) are retained until the user leaves the bot or requests deletion. Translation content is discarded immediately after each translation. Subscription records are kept for as long as the subscription is active or for historical verification purposes.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your stored preferences at any time by contacting the support server. Deleting your data may reset your language and subscription settings.
